GRANDPARENTS AROUND THE WORLD
Bridging the Gap between Seniors and Youth
We hold a Forum on the second Thursday of each month at the Bronx Museum of the Arts on the Grand Concourse. The Forums run from 9:30 AM until noon. They are free of charge and include a light lunch.
The Forums spotlight important information for seniors and their families. Some of the Forums have included a talk and demonstration on emergency preparedness, a presentation from health and nutrition experts, information and advice on insurance and wills, and we held a job fair to help community youth find employment and learn about employment readiness programs that are available.
For each Forum, we invite a group of panelists with expertise in the area we are covering. We then enjoy educational and informative, and often entertaining presentations by leaders in their respective fields. This is followed by a question and answer period, after which attendees have the opportunity to talk individually to the experts.
